To My Dear Selfless Smoker Friends...

Yesterday, during lunch with my colleague a topic about smoking arose. Everyone gave their opinion about it and the discussion went on for about 30 minutes. Everyone has different opinions and mostly said that smoking is not good (obviously true!!!) and smokers are selfish.(which I do not agree). I see smokers as selfless people who are contributing for the good of others. This was my justification...

When a smoker buys a box of cigarette, he is actually contributing to our economy by paying the tax. No matter how high the price goes, he's not going to "give up" and will continue to contribute to the economy. What happens when he did that? Obviously, the income of the Government will increase. From the view of traditional economy theory, we assume Government only spends money for the benefits of its people. When the income increases, Government spends it to upgrade the infrastructure, provide more scholarships and etc. In nutshell, Government will use it for Malaysians' benefits. Isn't that great? The smokers are actually contributing for our benefits. They are like candles, "burn" their self to give us "light".

Not only that, when they fall sick due to the smoking habit they go to hospitals and clinics for treatment. Again they are increasing the revenue of the health-care centers and the health-care centers pay tax for the revenue. What happens next? Tax increases the revenue of the Government...And Government spends it for the benefits of Malaysians. When smokers are doing such a good deed for the benefits of all, how can we say they are selfish??

Many say the smokers are not only spoiling their own health but also the health of the people around them through passive smoking. There is always a solution for this, when someone smokes in the public places , as a concerned citizen we sound the person directly so that he/she stops immediately. If you don't dare to sound the person just leave the place to save your life.

I am not posting this to encourage smoking habit or as a support for my smoking friends. The reason is there are always a good thing behind every bad thing. It is just how you see it and justify it. Same goes to individuals, when we don't like someone, we only see the faults and flaws. But what we don't realize is that the faults and flaws are a part of them and they are different from us because of it. So always take time to get  know a person well before judging them because we are not born evil. Each one of us are unique because of our individuality. What is right for someone, might be wrong for another. As long as you know what you are doing and able to justify it to others , you are right.

Everyone has different dreams and life purposes, so have the courage to achieve yours and also take time to understand others dreams . We can really make a significant difference in life! CHEERS!

Our Life, Our Story...

Whether we believe it or not, we are creating the story of our life… For some, it happens without them realizing it and for some; they realize they create their life story…

Therefore, now let’s ask ourselves following questions and check the truth behind my statements above.

1. What story do you tell to other about your life?
2. Are the stories you told to other is happening in your life? To answer this question, take some alone time, think back all the events that had happen in your life. Have you ever hoped or feared that those events to take place/ not to take place in your life??

If you have got the answers for above questions, now is the time to “rewrite” our storyline about our life in the way that we want and NOT in the way we do not want it to be. First, we eliminate the strong believes of things that we can do and we cannot do.

Then, as the author of our life, there are five rules we should follow in creating our life story. The rules are,

1. Do not listen if someone says we are less than anyone else.
 Every person on this Earth is gifted with strengths and weaknesses, and there is no one same as another. That is one of great thing about God’s creation…

2. Do not listen if someone says we are limited in anyway
 There is no limit to human’s capabilities; if there were any limits… we won’t have airplanes, skyscrapers, internet and etc. The conclusion is, Only We Can Set Our Limits…

3. Do not listen if someone says we cannot have what we love or do what we love and be what we love and earn a living from it
 What is the purpose of our birth if we cannot do what we love??? We are not emotion-less robots. We have all the rights to choose what we want in life. Only us, not our parents (ok… maybe until u reach 21, parents can choose for us-exceptional, not after that…), siblings, friends, relatives, colleagues and etc decide how our life should be.

4. Do not listen if someone says we are not as valuable and worthy as the greatest human beings who’ve lived
 How to measure worth of a human? Who is greater, Albert Einstein or Mother Teresa? Beethoven or Shakespeare? Coming back to Rule No 1, everyone on this Earth is gifted with strengths and weaknesses!!!

5. Do not listen if someone says we are not good enough now and we have to prove ourselves in life
 If we are not good enough, then everyone on this Earth is not good enough as well. The person who says that we are not good enough, they should see at their self first whether they are good enough to say so…

IF WE BELIEVE, WE ARE JUST PUTTING LIMITS ON OURSELF!!! Because all that are NOT TRUE

There is not a single thing that is too good for us or too good to be true… We should only believe in our dreams and let others to believe in their dream. Never ever discourage others, because we never know what they are capable of until they reach their dream. Let’s live our dream and let others live their dream…

In conclusion, in order to create our life in the way we want it to be, beware of the story you are telling to other. Make sure it is a pleasant one and please LET GO of the painful past which we can’t reverse, only cherish the sweet memories. Create a beautiful storyline which has a lot of Love, Wealth and Health. Talk to everyone about it and enjoy every moment of the life. May God Bless Us Always…

Thoughts and Feelings...

From the moment were born until our last gulp of air, we are always feeling something. We can stop our thoughts when we are sleeping but not our feeling, because to be alive is to feel life. We have the sense of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch, so that we can feel everything in life. They are the “feeling” senses, because they enable us to feel what we see, feel what we hear, feel what we taste, feel what we smell and touch. Our entire body is covered with a layer of skin, which is a feeling organ, so we can feel everything.

Our feeling in any moment is more important than anything else, because how we feel right now is creating OUR LIFE. Our feelings are the fuel to run our life according to our thoughts. Our thoughts and words have no power at all in our life without our feelings. We think so many thoughts in a day that do not amount to anything because many of our thoughts do not elicit a strong feeling within.

Imagine our thoughts and words are like a car; let’s say Mitsubishi Lancer (my dream car) and our feelings as the fuel. My Lancer is a stationary vehicle that cannot do anything without fuel, because the fuel is the power that runs my Lancer. It is the same with our thoughts and words. Our thoughts and words are vehicles that cannot do anything without our feelings, because our feelings are the power of our thoughts and words. So feel good always and enjoy every moment of the life…

Let’s ROCK…
